Heroes Come In All Sizes ...

Pictured on the left is 7-yr old Alexis Goggins with her mother, Seliethia Parker.

Little Alexis, as a gunman was about to fire, leaped from the back seat of an SUV, throwing herself across her mom, crying out, "Don't hurt my mother!" Alexis was hit by six 9mm rounds, one in the right eye. Only two of the bullets got past her and into her mother.

The piece of shit gunman who shot Alexis and her mother, Calvin Tillie was the mom's ex-boyfriend and an ex-convict on parole. Tillie, who was hiding in the shadows by their apartment, jumped into the SUV after they had gotten in.

Seliethia has been released from the hospital, but little Alexis is still in critical condition and blind in one eye at Children's Hospital of Michigan, after three operations.

Ladies, consider this a public service announcement from The Blogway Boys: Be careful who you date ... especially if you have children. Remember, you may not only be endangering your own life, but the lives of your kids. At the very least, google your dates.

Please join me and my family in praying for our little hero, Alexis.

And for Calvin Tillie ... may he burn in hell.

Oh, I am not sure what to say. Little Alexis is a hero. It makes me sick to think of a child taking bullets from her mom's ex-boyfriend, to protect her Mom. Its sweet and heart-breaking.

Tillie is pure evil. What a scumbag.

I heard about this and thought, "what nice people the mother is hanging around with." That little girl is smarter than her mother.

Paul

Good morning and good post. For some odd reason my Internet Explorer is refusing to open your blog, it is working on every other blog but not on this one - so, I am using the good browser [that is Firefox] to check things out here. Have a productive weekend.

terry ... yes, he is pure evil. Obviously we have a problem with the parole board that released him.

angel ... when I saw the little clipping in the newspaper, I immediately tore it out and put it in my shirt pocket ... thought people would like to know.

bufallo ... Yes, he was arrested at the scene. This guy has a pretty long rap-sheet and you can see it here:
http://www.state.mi.us/mdoc/asp/otis2profile.asp?mdocNumber=276276

Assaulting a police officer / resisting arrest, armed robbery / assault while armed, home invasion, assault with a dangerous weapon and stealing cable. Now add to that attempted murder times two. I guess Michigan doesn't have a three strikes law ... he already had four felonies.

rev ... I'll add him to the list of people that I pray get transferred to your facility.

debbie ... when I first read the article, my first reaction was to blame the mother. After sleeping on it, I really can't fault her ... it is squarely on the waste of DNA that shot them. Of course I still reserve some blame for the Michigan legal system that continues to release these felons from prison like it had a revolving door.

cfs ... I know, I have been having troubles logging in myself for the past two weeks.

O.K...guys! This is interesting...the only way I can access The Blogway Boys...I googled The Blogway Boys; found an older post; opened it and put it in my favorites. When I want to read, I click on that old post, go to the sidebar and click on the most recent post and it brings me to the current post page with the comment section. BUT! If I ever click on 'home page'...it's the same old story.

Paul Champagne, you are such an enigma!!

inspired ... I want my readers to work for it.

On the challenges with this blog

I was blaming Internet Explorer for all the problems opening this blog, but I can see that cfs is not the only one having challenges here. But wait ... it could be the Anti-Rudy crowd causing all the troubles on this blog. Have a productive weekend.

As a "dating" (not really) single mom, its stuff like this that breaks my heart. Poor little Alexis...what a brave little girl. I will be praying for both of them because after that, they deserve a happily ever after.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Paul. :)

much love,

Paul, I tried to get here with my IE browser and kept being told that IE couldn't explore your site, but I managed to get here with Firefox. I sent you an e-mail that you can disregard.

Anyway, yeah, this child is amazing, and Tillie is words I won't use on the internet!

Happy New Year, Paul. 2008 is going to be a real challenge.
