"PLEASE SAVE MY BABY-BOY"

Well, it didn't take very long did it? Some intrepid reporter tracked down the family of the lone-surviving Somali pirate. His mom is now pleading with the President to pardon her son because he was enticed into piracy by "gangsters with money". Newsflash mom, that's how most criminals turn to crime. The mom also wants the President to allow her to come to the United States to be with her boy (probably at taxpayer expense). She says her boy is only 16 ... though he says he is 19. On the off-chance that he is 16, she should be allowed a visa to visit her son and attend the trial ... but she needs to come up with the money to do so.

In yet another example of lawyer self-aggrandisement, prominent New York Civil Rights attorney, Ron Kuby is in discussions about forming a legal team to represent the young pirate. I never met a lawyer that didn't love press coverage, and Kuby is no exception.

In a welcome turn of events, several attempts to hi-jack other ships have been thwarted by NATO forces this past week. It just goes to show that when America steps up and shows strength, other nations follow. It's time for America to take the lead wherever evil people attempt to oppress others ... are you listening Hugo Chavez, Mahmoud Ahmadinijad and Kim Il Sung?

Liberal attorneys are falling all over themselves to defend this pirate. I knew it would not be long before we heard the "he's such a good boy" rant. That happens every time there is a suspected terror cell inside the US and Canada, "they are such good boys."

A bit off topic, but this has to be said.. In all cases, of Waterboarding interrogation methods, that were used.
They ALL gave up valuable information within seconds of being waterboarded.
And saved American lives!!

YOU liberals better wake up to the facts of life in the real world, and understand that there are people out there who hate and want to kill Americans, no matter how much the current president apologizes and tries to appease them, no matter how many Kings he bows to, no matter how many tin horn south American dictators he jokes with and plays second fiddle to.

It's only a matter of time before there will be a movement of people who say that the pirates were mistreated. In fact, it probably has already started.

Pirates are terrorists. Plain and simple. Someone, during the pirate's hearing, will declare that the U.S. used inhumane force to capture him. Never mind the fact that he was holding a hostage at gun-point.

Deb ... I think a lawyer is a lawyer. Why differentiate between liberal and conservative ones? They all want that TV time. Can you say "sleeze-ball"?

No Blog ... when did being uncomfortable become torture? Just because a prisoner is cold, hot or wet doesn't mean he is being tortured.

Red ... People forget that the captain has a momma too. And a wife and kids that love him and count on him.

Elm ... We no longer have a "War On Terror". Obama ended that war ... or at least the phrase. I think they are now calling the pirates "misguided nautical combatants". And the Islamic terrorists are "angry young Moslems". Of course we do still have the "right-wing domestic terrorists" which now includes people who are pro 2nd Ammendment, pro-life (better watch out Pope Benedict), and of course our returning veterans. Most of us call our returning vets "Heros", Janet Napoletano calls them "Dangerous".
