My previous test was unfair to all the people living outside the United States. In the spirit of fairness, I now give you another test ... The World Citizenship Test. Once again number 5 is a hard one.
1) What document, issued in 1215 became the basis of English Common Law?
2) Which clueless aristocrat when told that the peasants were revolting because they didn't have bread, declared "then let them eat cake"?
3) What was the former name of the country now called Zaire?
4) What was the Bastille?
5) The city, Kathmandu is the capital of what country?
6) The explorer, Leif Erickson was native to what country?
7) Why did Shah Jahan have the Taj Mahal built in Agra, India?
8) Though some have claimed that the first Europeans to discover Australia were the Portuguese, which Dutch navigator is credited with the discovery?
9) The Canary Islands, located off the coast of Africa belong to which country?
10) What King Of Ithica, was immortalized in the epic poems the Illiad and Odyssey?

Good Grief! I specialized in history in school! I haven't retained much information, have I? Oh well...I gave it a shot..and learned in the process.
David, if your students are five they will think you know everything. Mine are 18 plus and seemed surprised that I know something!!
that's pretty tough there..
I guess I can only come to visit to the World as well ;-)
O-kay, everyone take Sarah's art history class so the balloons can continue to fall from the ceiling ... wait, is that the sound of champagne corks popping I hear?

inspired ... the next interplanetary transport leaves in 15 minutes ... it will drop you off at the planet of your choice ;)
sarah ... I seriously doubt 18 year olds know very much about Art History (or even think that they do) ... unless it's the history of anime.
blanco ... you're a tough girl, you can do it.
evalinn ... the Martians tell me they don't have tests there ... they consider them etnocentric
But I don´t want to go to Mars...space scares me :-Z
evalinn ... o-kay, you may stay on Earth. It's too bad, the Martians were going to name you their Queen and lavish you with gifts of shoes.
Ok...I commented yesterday...but it's not here! I suggested that we should also give this test out before we hand over voter registration cards!
Oh, never mind that last comment, I am retarded and obviously don't read good!
where do I go if I fail- which I did real bad!
jenny ... you're not retarded, you just don't read well , even though I know you read more books in a month than I do in a year.
b ... you can come with me ... I'm heading to Neptune.
I could lie and say I am so smrt..er I mean smart but, that would be WRONG! All I can say is that I'm scared for my children. Very, very scared!
I'm off to do some research now..hehehe
ms.l ... This test is one of those that you feel like you almost know the answer ... but not quite. I designed it that way in one of my evil moods.
Sorry
